Well 35/8-7S will be drilled from the Island Innovator drilling facility in position 61°16'8.62"N and 3°30'23.14"E.
The drilling programme for well 35/8-7S relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 880. Capricorn Norge AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 60%. The other licensee is Edison Norge AS with an ownership interest of 40%.
The area in this licence consists of part of block 35/8. The well will be drilled about 8 km east of the Vega field.
Production licence 880 was awarded on 10 February 2017 (APA 2016). This is the first well to be drilled in the licence.
The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to starting the drilling activity.
