Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) decided to extend the framework contract for engineering and maintenance services, with joint venture STS-Tebodin, in Oman by 3 years. The contract now runs until 2021.
Tebodin & Partner LLC in Oman, part of Bilfinger, along with major construction company STS in Oman, have been working for PDO under this contract since 2011, providing engineering and maintenance services, procurement support, construction, and management to PDO’s oil and gas field development in the North of Oman. The extension of the contract was brought forward by a year due to the good cooperation.
PDO is the largest oil and gas production company in Oman. It is responsible for over 70% of oil production and almost all gas production in the country. It is majority state-owned, with Royal Dutch Shell the second largest shareholder.
'The extension of the contract is very important and secures a significant part of our business in Oman for the coming years’, says Niels van Rhenen, CEO of Tebodin. ‘Through delivery of high quality services on a daily basis to PDO, we have created a strong foundation to last for another 4 years'.
