By reaching this milestone, Vink Chemicals strengthens its position as a reliable manufacturer of biocides and as a solutions provider that supports its customers with both active substances and formulated solutions.

BBIT is now the seventh active substance for which Vink Chemicals is listed under Article 95 of the EU Biocidal Products Regulation. The manufacturer sees this as confirmation and recognition of its long-term strategy to commit to regulatory compliance, ensure security of supply for its customers and continuously expand its portfolio.

Ingo Krull, Technical Sales Manager TB Europe at Vink Chemicals, comments: “With Vinkocide® BBIT 97, Vink Chemicals completes its active ingredient portfolio for water-miscible cooling lubricants. Vinkocide® BBIT 97 was the final missing piece in our product portfolio. We now offer not only the active ingredient BBIT, but also Vinkocide® BB WM, a water-soluble formulation that enables the use of BBIT in all aqueous metalworking fluids.”

With this listing, Vink Chemicals is now able to offer a range of high-performance BBIT-based products. These include Activink® BBIT 97 (for formulators of biocidal products) and Vinkocide® BBIT 97, which is used as a biocide in fluid concentrates for metalworking and in the manufacture of silicone sealants.

In addition, Vink Chemicals offers ready-to-use BBIT-based formulations: parmetol® BPX for the household, industrial and institutional (HI&I) sectors, paints & coatings and cooling lubricants, as well as Vinkocide® BB WM for post-treatment in metalworking fluids.

With the listing of Vink Chemicals, customers in Europe now have a genuine alternative supplier from which to source their products, enabling them to diversify their procurement risks. Vink Chemicals plans to further expand its market presence through competitive terms and reliable availability. Interested companies can request samples with immediate effect.
