Samoco Oil Tools to accept 'Spotlight on New Technology' award at OTC

Samoco Oil Tools, a developer of tools for the oil and gas industry, is pleased to announce that the OneTrip® Universal BOP Test Tool has been recognised in the Offshore Technology Conference Spotlight On New Technology® Awards. The company will accept the award during OTC in Houston, Texas May 1 - 4, 2017.

Nearly seven years ago, federally-mandated testing protocol required operators to test the integrity of their BOP equipment every 14 days. While operators have complied for years, no one in the industry has been able to complete the test in one trip, until now. One Trip’s proprietary design cuts BOP testing time in half by performing all three required, downhole tests in a single trip.
