An Aberdeen based well management firm has successfully completed the planning and supervision of a four well abandonment campaign in the UK Central North Sea on behalf of Antrim Energy.

Zenith Energy, established in 2012, completed the planning, permitting, well examination and supervision of operations for the Canadian based operator, which formed part of a multi- client plug and abandonment (P&A) campaign.

The rigless P&A campaign included three suspended wells on the Fyne Licence (P077, Block 21/28a) and one suspended well on the Erne Licence (P1875, Block 21/29d).

Managing director at Zenith Energy, Martin Booth, said “We have utilised our experienced team to successfully complete the North Sea abandonment project, marking yet another significant milestone for us in our first three years of business. Our focus on quality planning and experienced supervision has led to the safe and efficient abandonment of these wells for Antrim.”

UK managing director for Antrim Energy, Murray Chancellor, said: “Successfully abandoning these four suspended wells as part of a rigless campaign has been a very good achievement for Antrim. Zenith Energy’s input to the campaign has been a crucial part of this achievement.”

Zenith Energy currently has a team of 18 engineers, with over 100 years of professional experience in the industry. Over the last two years, Zenith has more than doubled its client list to 20, working with a number of operators and service companies in the UK, Ireland, Norway, France and West Africa.
