SLR’s service offering strengthened by New Zealand acquisition

Leading environmental consultancy SLR Consulting, has acquired Environmental Offshore Services Ltd (EOS), a New Zealand-based company specialising in all aspects of offshore oil and gas environmental compliance.     

EOS, whose clients include oil and gas companies as well as Governmental departments, has extensive experience across all environmental marine services. Its founder, Dan Govier, is particularly renowned for his work in Marine Mammal Impact Assessments for Marine Seismic Surveys. Other areas of the team’s expertise include regulatory and environmental advice and EIAs on exploration, appraisal and development drilling in New Zealand waters.

Dan Govier, who has been appointed SLR’s new Asia Pacific Technical Discipline Manager of Environmental Marine Services, said: “We are excited about becoming part of SLR and look forward to accessing the resources of its global business and providing additional skills and technology to its clients.”

The acquisition of EOS is SLR’s fourth in the oil and gas sector this year and reflects the company’s approach to provide clients with an integrated range of services and consistently high quality support on a global basis.
