Petrobras reported on Monday, 7 October 2024 that the Total Utilization Factor (FUT) of its refineries had reached 96.8% in September, representing the highest monthly result in 2024. As a result, the accumulated FUT for 3Q24 reached 95.2%.
3Q24 also registered a record in the processing of pre-salt oils in the distillation units, with 73% of the total load processed; and record gasoline production with a volume of 6.38 million m³ in the quarter. Asphalt production was also significant, reaching 803 000 t in the quarter, with production records in September at Reduc (32 000 t) and Repar (51 000 t).
The FUT represents the volume of oil processed in relation to the refineries' reference load, considering the design limits of the assets and respecting the requirements of safety, the environment and the quality of the products produced. The results achieved are the result of investments in projects to modernise the units, the reliability of the assets, the optimisation of processes and the application of innovative technologies.
