Brookfield introduces new measurement instruments

Brookfield Engineering, manufacturer of Viscometers and Rheometers for on-line process control applications, has recently introduced its new viscosity measurement and control instruments, the TT-100 and the AST-100 viscometers.

New Brookfield TT-100 In-Line viscometer

Like all of its viscometers, Brookfield’s TT-100 has been designed to deliver accurate and repeatable data which correlates to laboratory tests, providing years of trouble-free service in closed loop systems which require constant monitoring.

Continuous measurement eliminates need for ‘grab’ sampling and allows for prediction and constant control of final product properties.

The TT-100 will provide concentric cylinder geometry to provide viscosity measurements at particular shear conditions, constant or variable speed motors and 4-20 mA output signal to provide a variety of display and control capabilities.

The viscometer is capable of a wide range of pressures, temperatures, viscosities, flow and shear rates and can be operated at shear rates of 511 sec-1, as required by the Standards of the American Petroleum Institute. Furthermore, the use of measurement  ‘zone’ that is protected from main flow, allows for easy, accurate and repeatable measurements under variable conditions.

New AST-100 system for viscosity control

The AST-100 is a versatile instrument targeted at customers who seek viscosity control in their process as opposed to measurement of an exact number.

The product is easy to install, cleans-in-place, and has no moving parts, therby keeping maintenance to a minimum. The AST has been designed to save time and money, whilst also increasing production with numerous benefits.

Benefits of the AST-100 include: no moving parts to wear, bind or contact process materials, the use of a simple clean-in-place design, easy installation, digital display and continuous 4-20 mA output.
