Oilfield Technology,

Developed between 2009 - 2012, the software tool was created by AGR’s Well Management and Integrated Logistics Solutions teams while working on the Falkland Islands drilling campaign. The software supported the AGR team with the drilling of 22 well projects in the area, the shipping of over 25 000 t of equipment from Aberdeen to the destination and setting up a local supply base.

Petter Mathisen, Vice President of Software Solutions at AGR, said: “The team recognised the inefficiencies inherent with the existing monitoring tools and in a bid to develop technology that would respond to the performance needs of logistics in the upstream business, we created M2™. M2™ helps to cut logistics management and supply chain costs by having full control of the entire supply chain process and making sure no equipment is lost or delayed. We are very pleased Qube Holdings Limited will benefit from M2™.”

Qube Holdings Limited is an Australian company with several business areas within Shipping, Ports and Logistics services. The M2™ software will be used for managing logistics across Qube’s supply base facilities in Darwin, Dampier and Tasmania in supporting a number of significant offshore projects.

The three year deal will see AGR delivering software licenses and training and database implementation to Qube’s existing systems.
