Oilfield Technology,
Tracerco has secured a contract to deliver its ProfilerTM technology to the Woodside Energy-owned Scarborough Gas Field located in the Indian Ocean, on the West Coast of Australia.
Tracerco will deliver seven of its Profiler™ instrumentation to support the Woodside Energy business in its energy transition from fossil fuel reliance and to support those countries lacking access to affordable and reliable energy.
Tracerco - based in the UK and with offices across the globe – has previously delivered its Profiler™ instruments to the Pluto LNG Terminal which receives gas directly from the Scarborough Field.
The Profiler™ is specifically designed to measure the vertical distribution of multiple interfaces in real time and at high resolution. It provides a window into the vessel, allowing operators to accurately measure and control the distribution of fluid. This low maintenance and extremely reliable instrument can be used to prevent unplanned shutdowns, reduce chemical additive costs, optimise processes in real time, increase throughput and improve environmental compliance.
Speaking about the contract win, Graham Barker, Global Product and Service Delivery Manager at Tracerco said: “We pride ourselves on delivering service excellence. Being awarded this contract win demonstrates our previous work throughout the project has not gone unnoticed. Deploying our technologies on well-known developments such as this further strengthens our position as world leaders in nucleonic instrumentation and boosts our already impressive global portfolio. We are delighted to support Woodside Energy on its journey to becoming a greener energy company”.
