Bureau Veritas has been awarded two high value contracts, based on its innovative technologies and industry leading software, used to improve safety procedures and increase efficiencies in asset management.

Adopting the Veristar AIM3D ‘software as a solution’ system, Excelerate Energy and MISC Berhad (MISC) have expanded their agreements with Bureau Veritas (BV) to provide asset integrity services across their units, including on Excelerate Energy’s Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) Excellence, and MISC’s FPS systems, the Floating Storage & Offloading (FSO) vessel Benchama 2 and the Floating Production, Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessels - MaMPU1 and FPSO Cendor.

The technology represents a new generation of Asset Integrity Management Systems, developed in partnership with Dassault Systèmes, Veristar AIM3D is a full life cycle software that incorporates the unique and powerful combination of a 3D digital twin of the asset with smart data processing through a collaborative platform. The software helps Bureau Veritas clients better understand their risks and OPEX exposure to increase safety while improving the overall performance of their fleet and drive down OPEX.

As a sponsor of Safety 30, the conference organized by Oil & Gas UK this week, in association with the International Regulators’ Forum, that looks at the health and safety industry, 30 years after the events of Piper Alpha, Bureau Veritas explored the future of the health and safety sector.

The Veristar AIM3D software will be used by both execution teams to plan interventions, provide onboard contractors with detailed work instructions and to evaluate asset conditions. The implementation of the Veristar AIM3D software is expected to enhance clients’ operations in terms of asset integrity management, through a new way of working in a collaborative environment that will lead to smarter decision making, improved performance, cost optimisation and improved risk management.

Paul Shrieve, Bureau Veritas, Regional Chief Executive, North Sea Offshore Operations and Marine & Offshore Operations Director, said: “Since introducing our technology, Veristar AIM3D has provided clients with a unique platform to facilitate and understand the survey and inspection processes, optimising asset performance and reducing OPEX.

“We are delighted to see the software go from strength to strength and a continued network of clients begin to use the solution that offers a 3D digital twin, combined with smart data analytics in a collaborative platform.”
