OPEX has entered into a long-term collaboration with North Sea oil and gas operator, Dana Petroleum.

Having worked together over the past two years, the two companies have now entered into a three-year contract with two one-year options. As Dana’s data analytics partner, OPEX will be applying its X-PAS™ analytics platform across the firm’s Triton and Western Isles FPSO assets.

Combining expertise in data science, software development and oil and gas, the X-PAS platform helps customers to make better use of their data so they can achieve cleaner, more efficient and lower cost operations.

X-PAS will be implemented on critical systems on both North Sea assets to improve operational stability and reliability. Dana has also rolled out a number of OPEX’s AI-driven tools to automatically monitor sub-systems on the Triton and Western Isles assets.

Jamie Bennett, CEO of OPEX Group, said: “This new contract win builds upon our successful collaboration with Dana Petroleum. We look forward to continuing to support their asset teams, helping to enhance productivity and provide digital solutions to operational challenges.

“It arrives at a time when OPEX is rapidly expanding our product offering, encompassing both operational stability and emissions reduction solutions to help operators achieve their decarbonisation targets.”
