Due to the challenging field criteria at the site of the FPSO in the Gulf of Mexico, SOFEC developed a first of a kind Disconnectable Tower Yoke Mooring System.

Projects were concentrated in Russia and Uzbekistan and the Group drilled 1.33 million m (2019: 1.37 million m). Similarly, the number of wells drilled was almost identical - 344 (2019: 350).

The company now holds a 45% interest in the project in Lincolnshire, UK.

The order of four pumps from VWS Westgarth, which supplies and operates sulfate reduction membrane systems, was for chemically enhanced backwash pumps to be installed aboard two FPSO vessels operated by Petrobas off the coast of Brazil.

SBM Offshore has signed a letter of intent (LOI) together with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for a 26.25-year lease and operate contract for the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The contract covers the development of 10 deepwater wells and their tieback to the Limbayong FPSO unit in Malaysia.
