EM&I – the international asset integrity specialists – recently received a ‘thumbs up’ from a major Norwegian client with an FPSO in New Zealand.

Leading ROV and hydrographic survey company, Rovco, has been awarded further funding to develop the next stage of its integrated live 3D vision and artificial intelligence (AI) survey technology.

The company and its licence partners have submitted the report to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, with a final investment decision due early in 2019.

This is the first contract win for Texo Group’s MODU business unit, having won the contract through a competitive tendering process.

The Iguana field remained undeveloped for over 34 years until DeNovo became the operator in 2016, and is the first gas development campaign in the Gulf of Paria.

The field is located approximately 225 miles (360 km) south of New Orleans, La., in a water depth of approximately 5200 ft (1584 m).

ABB has been awarded an integrated automation, electrification and telecommunication order in Q2 2018, valued at US$79 million, for the upgrade of the Bab Onshore Field in Abu Dhabi, by China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation (CPECC).

The scope of work includes project management consultancy (PMC) services for the development which comprises four new artificial islands and the associated drilling, production, utilities and infield pipeline facilities.

During the ceremony, Total also announced the continuation of its development programme in the country, following on from the launch of the Zinia 2 project in May.
