Wintershall wins four new exploration licenses in Norway

The Norwegian energy ministry has awarded Wintershall Norge ASA working interests in four new exploration licenses in the current licensing round, APA 2009. They comprise two new licenses in the Norwegian North Sea, one license in the Norwegian Sea and one license in the Barents Sea for the BASF subsidiary.

 

Newfield achieves record production in Woodford Shale

Newfield Exploration Co. has achieved record gross operated production of 323 million ft3/d of natural gas equivalent from the company's Woodford Shale play in the Arkoma Basin of southeastern Oklahoma.
