Daewoo wins FSRU contract from Excelerate Energy

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. has won a US$ 280 million deal to build a floating storage and regasification vessel. The vessel will be delivered in 2014.

 

KBR awarded major engineering design for the BP Quad 204 project

KBR has been awarded a contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. to perform engineering design and procurement support services for the BP Quad 204 Floating Production Storage and Offload (FPSO) project, to be located west of Shetland Isles in UK waters.

Several State Agencies and WellDog announced today that they have located $11.7 million worth of gas in the Pawnee coal of the Leiter field, which was abandoned and had been slated for plugging by the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Encana secures LNG supply for refuelling stations

Pivotal LNG, a subsidiary of AGL Resources Inc., has signed an agreement with Encana Natural Gas Inc., to supply LNG that Encana plans to offer to service providers operating fleet trucks in the Haynesville area of Louisiana.

 

Kosmos energy makes light oil discovery at Kasa-1 well offshore Ghana

Kosmos Energy has announced a light oil discovery at the Akasa-1 exploration well on the West Cape Three Points Block offshore the Republic of Ghana. The well penetrated 33 m (108 ft) of oil-bearing pay in four good-quality Turonian–aged sand packages.

 

Woodside wins AU$ 1.5 million from CFMEU

Woodside Petroleum has been awarded AU 1.5 million in compensation by a Federal Court over an illegal strike at its Pluto LNG site back in December 2009, which was actively encouraged by the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).
