The specialist well abandonment company has secured a three-year framework agreement with TAQA Bratani Limited for the provision of intervention management services for all their North Sea assets.

The company’s ERRV Ocean Troll, will provide Emergency Response and Rescue services for Maersk Oil’s Culzean project in the central North Sea. The Charter is the first Fire Fighting Class II (Fi-Fi II) ERRV to have operated in the UK sector.

The Edinburgh Centre for Robotics, a partnership between Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh, will lead a consortium that includes Imperial College London, the University of Oxford and the University of Liverpool.

The contract will see Expro provide testing services for at least three wells, including two new drills and one re-entry, at the Breagh Alpha Platform as part of the Southern North Sea (SNS) Development Programme. The contract includes an option to extend for a further two wells.

Tap Oil Limited provides the following update on the Manora Oil Field in the Northern Gulf of Thailand (TAP 30% interest), where the Atwood Orca jackup drilling unit has completed the drilling of the MNA-18 and MNA-19 wells.

The consideration to be paid for the interest is US$17.6 million, subject to customary working capital and purchase price adjustments, with an effective date of 31 December 2017.   

Trelleborg’s offshore operation in Skelmersdale, England, has been certified for the design of its Type 3 Clamp under the American Petroleum Institute’s specification for flexible pipe ancillary equipment (API 17L1 Ed. 1 2013).

The project is located in offshore Sabah, Malaysia at a water depth of approximately 1300 m.

The operator became the largest independent E&P company in the region following the US$3 billion deal with Shell earlier this year to acquire the platforms as part of a larger asset package.
