The company has announced that the Ocean Rig Poseidon, a sixth generation deepwater drillship, has commenced its mobilisation.

The well was drilled about 105 km west of the 7324/8-1 (Wisting) oil discovery in the Barents Sea and about 350 km northwest of Hammerfest.
