IFR joint venture enters largest onshore bid round 3.2 of historic Mexico energy reform

International Frontier Resources Corporation in partnership with Mexican petrochemical leader Grupo IDESA, has announced that Tonalli Energia has registered and been granted access to the data room for the second tender of Round Three (Round 3.2) of Mexico’s oil and gas energy reform by the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH).

 
 

IFR Joint Venture commences drilling at Tecolutla

International Frontier Resources Corporation has announced that in partnership with Mexican petrochemical leader Grupo IDESA, Tonalli Energia has spudded its first evaluation well, TEC-10, at its onshore Tecolutla block. 

 
 

DEA wins three exploration blocks as operator in Mexico’s bid round 3.1

In Mexico’s shallow water bid round 3.1, Deutsche Erdoel Mexico was awarded two blocks with its partners Pemex Exploration and Production and CEPSA and one block jointly with its partners Sapura E&P and Premier Oil. In all three blocks, the affiliate of the German E&P company DEA, Deutsche Erdoel Mexico will be the operator.

 

Pemex signs contract with Lewis Energy for the Olmos field

Petróleos Mexicanos and Lewis Energy México signed the first Integrated Exploration and Extraction Contract (CSIEE) for the Olmos field, which is located in the state of Coahuila. The purpose is to assess and develop the Eagle Ford field in Mexico.
