Three appraisal wells drilled this year, GTA-1, Yakaar-2 and Orca-1, targeted a total of nine hydrocarbon-bearing zones. The wells encountered gas in high quality reservoirs in all nine zones.

The contract is expected to commence in 2Q20 and will contribute approximately US$91 million of contract backlog, excluding mobilisation reimbursement.

Petrofac has been appointed by Maersk to deliver well management services, including project and supply chain management support for shallow water and deepwater wells throughout the duration of the programme.
