The Maha 2 well in the West Ganal block has been drilled to a depth of 2970 m in 1115 m water depth and encountered 43 m of gas bearing net sands.

The well was drilled 26 km south of the Sleipner Øst installation and 9 km south of the Grevling discovery in the North Sea, about 240 km west of Stavanger.
