Howden secures compressor contract for Majnoon oilfield, Iraq
Howden will supply two screw compressor packages to Majnoon oilfield, near Basrah, Iraq. With Howden’s compressor solution, the Majnoon oilfield will save 42 242 t of carbon emissions per year – the equivalent of annual fossil fuel emissions for 9100 cars.

Gas leaks on Sleipner field stopped – parts of the field are shut down
A gas leak in a contained area related to a turbine on Sleipner A was reported in the morning of 11 July. The incident was quickly clarified. During the process of resuming production and depressurisation, an additional gas leak occurred on the Sleipner R riser platform late Monday night.
Serica Energy spud North Eigg exploration well
It is anticipated that a discovery at North Eigg would be developed utilising Serica’s nearby 98% owned and operated infrastructure on the Bruce platform. Results of the North Eigg well are expected in mid-October and will be announced by RNS.
