Significant new gas project proved up in Central Queensland

With an East Coast gas crisis looming, a significant new gas field has just been proved up in Central Queensland and could prove invaluable in helping to alleviate a forecast domestic market shortfall of about 50 Petajoules (PJ) a year.

TAG Oil Ltd. has provided the following update with respect to TAG Oil’s operated Pukatea-1 exploration well located in the Puka permit (PEP 51135, 70% TAG Oil) in the Taranaki Basin of New Zealand.

 

Saipem drillship mobilised to Rabat Deep Permits in Morocco

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited, the Atlantic margins focused oil and gas exploration company, is has announced that the Saipem 12000, a sixth generation ultra-deepwater drillship, has commenced its mobilisation to drill the RD-1 well on the Rabat Deep Permits in Morocco.

 

PETRONAS joins FAR to drill offshore The Gambia

FAR Ltd has signed a Farm-out Agreement (FOA) with a subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) to assign a 40% interest in each of the highly prospective offshore petroleum licences, Blocks A2 and A5 in The Gambia. FAR is to retain a 40% interest in each of the licences.
