The order of four pumps from VWS Westgarth, which supplies and operates sulfate reduction membrane systems, was for chemically enhanced backwash pumps to be installed aboard two FPSO vessels operated by Petrobas off the coast of Brazil.

SBM Offshore has signed a letter of intent (LOI) together with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for a 26.25-year lease and operate contract for the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Tupi and Iracema surveys for Petrobras will start in 3Q21 and are expected to last approximately nine months.
