Teekay Corp. has entered into a new bareboat charter contract with Britoil Ltd, a subsidiary of BP, for the Petrojarl Foinaven FPSO unit for up to approximately 10 years.

The contract covers the development of the Platina field, located offshore Angola in Block 18.

The project proposes to capture the 1.7 million t of carbon dioxide currently separated from natural gas at the Moomba gas processing plant each year and reinject it.

VOS will continue its exclusive provision of four vessels to support BP’s North Sea and West of Shetland assets until 2023.

Oceaneering is to provide comprehensive riserless light well intervention services offshore Angola in Blocks 18 and 31.

Alligin forms part of the Greater Schiehallion Area and has been developed as a two-well subsea tieback into the existing Schiehallion and Loyal subsea infrastructure and the Glen Lyon floating, production, storage, offload (FPSO) vessel.

Eni and Total won operator rights to blocks 28 and 29 respectively in the offshore Namibe basin, while Angola’s state oil company Sonangol and Equinor and BP were awarded smaller stakes.

The assets to be sold by BP include its interests in the Andrew area in the central UK North Sea and its non-operating interest in the Shearwater field.

The contract for the semi-submersible rig Maersk Discoverer has an estimated duration of 322 days and is expected to commence in July 2020.

Three appraisal wells drilled this year, GTA-1, Yakaar-2 and Orca-1, targeted a total of nine hydrocarbon-bearing zones. The wells encountered gas in high quality reservoirs in all nine zones.
