Weatherford International plc has announced that it has been named Wells Supplier of the Year 2017 by Shell International Exploration & Production Inc. The award recognises the high levels of safety and service quality that Weatherford has provided to Shell’s well operations throughout the year, as well as the service company’s collaborative, solutions-based approach.
Weatherford President and Chief Executive Officer Mark A. McCollum accepted the award from Shell Executive Vice President, Wells, Paul Goodfellow, at Shell’s Houston headquarters.
“This award is especially meaningful because it comes directly from one of our customers,” said McCollum. “Weatherford is proud to have collaborated with Shell on a broad range of projects around the world over the past year.”
“Recognition from our customers is a testament to our focus on flawless execution and to the value of strong customer relationships,” McCollum continued. “Weatherford is committed to working closely with operators and together exploring innovative approaches to the industry’s challenges.”
