SQS appoints John Gilmour
Sterling Quality Services (SQS) have announced the launch of SQS USA with the opening of their first US office in Houston, Texas and the launch of a new website.
Lisa Roberts, Managing Director of SQS, has also confirmed the appointment of John Gilmour as Senior VP of Business Development.
Gilmour brings over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with him and has worked for many of the major EPC contractors including KBR, Fluor, Amec Foster Wheeler, Aker Solutions, Snamprogetti, Kellogg and Chiyoda.
Having worked on diverse projects in oil and gas, power generation, chemical and biofuels in Qatar, Asia, Europe and the Americas, Gilmour was selected as the perfect candidate to head up SQS USA. Gilmour’s extensive knowledge also covers a wide range of equipment from mechanical, electrical and instrumentation through to telecoms.
John Gilmour commented: “I am looking forward to heading up SQS USA and am excited to start a new phase in both my career and for SQS. I have worked as both the client and the service provider which gives me the perfect understanding of what can be provided, should be provided and what the client demands, in order to ensure that the client’s requirements and expectations are not just fulfilled but exceeded.”
