Following investment in its Singapore laboratory, global testing group Exova now offers an extended range of coating qualification testing for the oil and gas and marine sectors.
The move further extends services offered to include full ring peel testing, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC); fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR); paint testing; flash point; colour and gloss measurement and a salt spray cabinet.
The specialist laboratory in Tuas provides coatings testing, analysis and qualification for oil and gas field joint applications and protective coatings systems in marine applications. The laboratory recently supported a unique project to deliver a mobile testing capability for a major global supply chain company operating a project in Angola.
Speaking about the new investment, Ryan Emery, coatings laboratory manager said: “The extension of our specialist coatings capabilities is in direct response to customer demand. This investment, combined with the recent opening of our sister laboratory in Malaysia, allows us to better meet the technical needs of our customers across the Asia Pacific region and worldwide.”
