ODIN uses advanced methods to plan and carry out UWILDs (Under Water Inspections in Lieu of Drydocking), structural, isolation valves, and other required inspections and maintenance tasks without using divers.
This particular ODIN patent is for the method of inspecting sea chests, replacing isolation valves, and cathodically protecting sea chest internal structure without using divers.
ODIN can be applied to new assets to reduce CAPEX or existing assets without operational disruption and with significant benefits that include reductions in HSE risk, cost, and POB (Persons on Board).
ODIN technology is class approved and has been used on hundreds of offshore projects throughout the world for over 10 years.
Danny Constantinis (Executive Chairman) of the EM&I Group, commented: “The continuous development of applications for ODIN demonstrates its fundamental versatility. This is why it forms the basis of our Underwater Services Line and reinforces EM&I as a company that provides safer and better solutions for the energy industries.”
