Oilfield Technology,
Petroplan, the global oil, gas and energy recruitment specialist, has launched its inaugural ‘Talent Insight Index’.
The survey is targeted at oil and gas industry professionals around the world and aims to assess the attitudes and opinions of contractors and employees across the sector. It will reveal how recent volatility and change within the industry has affected the outlook of the workforce, and how perceptions might differ between hiring managers and candidates.
Andrew Speers, Managing Director at Petroplan, says: “The success of this industry is dependent on the people that serve it. Our aim is to create a meaningful barometer for the sector that we can use yearly to benchmark the sentiment of the workforce. In an environment that’s under so much pressure and experiencing a period of exceptional change, it’s more vital than ever that we understand what makes our people tick, so we can adjust our approach accordingly to attract and retain talent. The insight that this survey will provide will be invaluable to businesses across the globe.”
Findings and analysis from the ‘Talent Insight Index: an annual barometer for the oil, gas and energy industries’ will be published in December 2015. Views will be collated from industry professionals across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Australasia.
