Ocean Installer wins Malta mooring work

Ocean Installer has been awarded a turnkey project for procurement and installation of a spread mooring chain system for a floating storage unit (FSU) in Malta.
The mooring installation and hook-up takes place in Marsaxlokk Bay, where the FSU will be providing re-gasified LNG for the fueling of electricity generators onshore at Delimara power station. The client is ElectroGas Malta.
“With this project, we further consolidate our position as a provider of competitive mooring services, and by that we again prove our strategy of casting a wider net in a challenging market successful,” says Steinar Riise, CEO of Ocean Installer.
The project will be managed from Ocean Installer’s Stavanger office and onshore engineering will commence with immediate effect.
