NPD: March production figures

Published by , Editor
Oilfield Technology,

Preliminary production figures for March 2015 show an average daily production of about 1 935 000 bbls of oil, NGL and condensate.

This is 3000 bpd (about 0.2%) more than in February 2015. Total gas sales were about 10.9 billion Sm3, which is 0.9 GSm3 more than previous month.

The average daily liquid production in March was: 1 520 000 bbs of oil, 372 000 bbs of NGL and 43 000 bbls of condensate. The oil production is 0.5% below the oil production in March last year.

The Alvheim, Draugen, Grane and Gullfaks Sør fields had reduced production in March due to various technical problems. The Gudrun field started production on 24 March after having been shut down since 18 February due to a gas leak. Production from the Knarr field started in March.

The oil production is about 1.5% above the NPD’s prognosis for the month.

The total petroleum production for the first three months in 2015 is about 58.8 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 22.0 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 5.6 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 31.2 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total volume is 1.4 MSm3 o.e. higher than for the same period in 2014.

Final production figures from February 2014 show an average daily production of about 1.553 million bbls of oil, 0.379 million bbls of NGL and condensate and a total of 10.0 billion Sm3 saleable gas production.
