Tenaris expands service centre in Esbjerg
On 10 June 2015, Tenaris officially inaugurated its newly constructed pipe yard which has a storage capacity of 14000 t. The service centre first opened in 2012 in the industrial seaport city, including a commercial office and machine shop within. The expansion has allowed Tenaris to develop its service model in the region and hone in on the needs of its customers, whilst also helping to reduce their total cost of ownership.
The facility offers technical assistance for offshore and onshore oil country tubular goods, alongside operational and administrative support. Its on-site machine shop’s capabilities include: threading accessories, and threading and repairing TenarisHydril premium connections used in HPHT and deepwater projects – all of which come with proprietary Dopeless® technology.
Comment from Tenaris
“From Denmark, we are delivering high-end products and services supported by a strong local team and the excellence of our global and local industrial system,” said Gabriel Podskubka, Tenaris Eastern Hemisphere Area Manager. “This service centre and machine shop will allow us to adapt our manufacturing process to a timing much more suitable to our customers’ drilling plans.”
