CIS and Weatherford sign services agreement

Oilfield Technology,

Conductor Installation Services Ltd (CIS), an Acteon company, has entered into a global master services agreement with Weatherford International.

The agreement requires CIS to supply conductor and pile installation services, and associated equipment to Weatherford.

The exclusive global contract represents a logical progression in the relationship between Weatherford and CIS, who have worked together on successful operations since 2005. The contract is part of Weatherford's efforts to optimise the company's range of service contracts.

"During the past 10 years, we have worked very productively with Weatherford to deliver effective conductor and pile installation services, while taking great care to protect the safety of all personnel and the environment. It is extremely satisfying to see that our efforts on behalf of Weatherford have nurtured such a solid working relationship and confidence in our services and professional approach to delivering them," said Andy Penman, Group Managing Director of CIS.

Penman continued: “It provides us with a major source of new opportunities, with the many operations that CIS will be called upon to perform for Weatherford customers.

“As a result of this development, it will also open up new markets and further establish our presence in existing markets. The combined effect of these factors signals a period of dramatic growth for CIS in terms of revenue, market share and standing in the conductor and pile installation sector.”

To service the Weatherford contract, CIS will draw upon specialist personnel and equipment located at CIS bases in Great Yarmouth, England - Europe & Africa Region, Lafayette, Louisiana - Americas Region, Qatar and Doha - Middle East Region and Singapore - Asia Pacific Region.
