Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is poised to deliver three Template Slot Adapters (TSA) and associated TCS connectors for a major operator in West Africa. Following a contract award in early 3Q 2018, the equipment will be delivered in 1Q 2019 from Trendsetter’s Houston facility.
By utilising the TSA, the operator will be able to reconfigure the template and associated manifold slots to allow for the tie-in of satellite trees without removing the existing wellhead systems or production guide bases. This technology provides flexibility to add new wells, ultimately eliminating the need for specialised tooling and significantly reducing the vessel time necessary to complete the tie-ins that are traditionally required to connect the template to a satellite well.
“The Template Slot Adapter is yet another example of Trendsetter’s ability to develop novel solutions that maximise our client’s ability to revitalise an existing subsea field. We look forward to delivering a high quality product that is both innovative and cost-effective to the customer,” said Antony Matson, Vice-President of Projects.
Trendsetter’s scope of work includes the design and manufacture of the Template Slot Adapters, Trendsetter’s TC7 Clamp Connection Systems, and TC2 Collet Connection Systems.
Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is a privately owned oil and gas service company based in Houston, Texas which provides specialised subsea hardware and offshore service solutions globally from exploration drilling through abandonment.
