Brownfield engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider Global E&C has acquired 100% share capital in commissioning specialists Magma.

The 28-day project, carried out from the host vessel Normand Frontier, conducted 2D ultra high-resolution seismic surveys and seabed soil sampling in Block 32 and Block 17.

Under the terms of the award, Technip would work alongside and report to the integrated joint venture partner operations team to lead the onshore and offshore elements of the FEED programme.

The assets are the company's interests in the Hejre discovery and the Solsort discovery.

The Campos Deepwater GeoStreamer X project will deliver long offset, multi-azimuth seismic data over the deepwater portion of the northern Campos Basin.

The contract is significant for the offshore Brazilian oil and gas industry, which typically uses thermoplastic hose umbilicals.
