Subsea UK has announced that it will sponsor an initiative that inspires budding subsea engineers for a second year.

The University of Aberdeen has taken delivery of rock mechanics equipment that could play a major role in maximising oil and gas recovery in the North Sea and West of Shetland area.

Aker Solutions was recognised as the best subsea company of the year at the Subsea UK awards last night and David Bloom of Subsea 7 was honoured for his outstanding contribution to the subsea industry.

CGG has announced that it has received an extension to a major 3D seismic survey it successfully completed on the Caribbean coast offshore Colombia in late 2015.
