This FID adds momentum to Shell’s North Sea production growth, following the decision to redevelop the Penguins field in the northern North Sea.

Panoro Energy has announced that following the progress on commissioning, the Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (‘FPSO") vessel, BW Adolo has now left Singapore and is in route to the Tortue field, part of the Dussafu block offshore Gabon.

Chrysaor is focused on the development and commercialisation of dormant oil and gas discoveries and incremental reserves. The company acquired stakes in 10 North Sea fields from Shell last year.

The contract covers the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of subsea equipment including 9 subsea tree units as well as wellheads, subsea control systems, connection systems and associated equipment.

The bid round, scheduled to close on September 28, offers four blocks in Brazil’s pre-salt area, but three of these were already offered in previous rounds and received no bids.
