Simark Controls Ltd has received a major follow-up order for their proprietary Variable Frequency Drive systems (VFDs) from an Alberta Oil Producer. The order amounts to approx. CAN$1.4 million. This is a new order by the same oil producer who had already placed a CAN$2.0 million order for the same systems earlier in 2017.
The VFD Systems are designed and manufactured by Simark Controls to operate electric submersible pumps (ESPs) used to artificially lift heavy oil from the client’s Northern Alberta well-pad locations. The Simark Control’s VFD Systems significantly reduce the installation and operating costs. Additional benefits are improved pump uptimes, optimised pump operation and augmented oil production.
“We are excited to have won this new order so shortly after the first order”, commented Martin Curtis, President and General Manager of Simark Controls. “This is clear proof that our customized systems deliver the operation advantages, performance benefits, and cost reductions the client had requested.”
