BNK Petroleum acquires Spanish shale acreage

Trofagas Hidrocarburos, S.L., a wholly owned subsidiary of BNK Petroleum Inc., has been awarded an oil and gas concession totalling approximately 234,000 acres located mainly in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon, Spain.

Total makes big discovery in Caspian Sea

Total has made a major gas discovery in the Caspian Sea in the Absheron block offshore Azerbaijan. The Absheron X-2 well has encountered more than 500 ft of cumulated net gas pays within high quality sands on the northern flank of a major 270 km2 structure. BP EOC attempting to halt enforcement proceedings

BP EOC’s offices in Moscow were raided by bailiffs as a result of a claim by Andrei Prokhov, a shareholder in TNK-BP. BP have initiated proceedings to cancel the enforcement of the claim as they believe it is totally unjustified.
