EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2014 launched

Oilfield Technology,

The Energy Industries Council (EIC) has launched bookings for EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2014, the biggest UK oil and gas supply chain event of the year. Taking place at Manchester Central on 25-26 November 2014, oil and gas operators and contractors will gather at the event to identify UK capability for major oil and gas projects globally.

EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2014 will follow its successfully established format, with supply chain presentations running alongside a two-day conference and exhibition. The programme of supply chain briefings will be delivered by leading oil and gas companies who will inform delegates about future markets, upcoming projects and procurement strategies.

Supply chain briefings will be supplemented by one-to-one meetings where delegates will have the opportunity to put their case direct to key purchasing decision-makers.

Alongside the briefings, speakers from major operators and contractors will lead an expert conference programme that promises to offer invaluable insight into the critical challenges and opportunities facing the supply chain today.

Lord Livingston, UK Minister for Trade & Investment, will lead a Plenary Session, outlining the theme for the conference: ‘A 10-Year Global Outlook for UK Companies in the Oil & Gas Industry’, which will be followed by a full programme of sessions aimed at educating suppliers on future opportunities and challenges across the upstream, midstream and downstream industries.

Comments

Commenting on the 2012 event, Peter Christie, Business Development Director (Oil & Gas, EMEA), PEI-Genesis, said: “EIC Connect Oil & Gas has been terrific for us. We have seen the right people and it really is an excellent event with 90% of people coming with the right approach and looking to do business. I also thought that the venue was ideal as well. All in all, an excellent event and we look forward to attending the next one.”

Sarah Lansdell, Head of UK & National Events at the EIC, added: “EIC Connect Oil & Gas 2014 is set to be another outstanding event. A first-class speaker line-up is shortly to be announced and the exhibitor list includes some of the most forward thinking UK suppliers. The added value conference was well received in 2012, so I am confident that this will be the best EIC Connect event yet, delivering high quality networking and significant revenue-generating opportunities across the supply chain."
