Offshore systems supplier MacArtney UK has invested in new equipment at its state of the art Dyce facility.
The company has invested in excess of £70,000 on a new Polyurethane mixing machine for its cable assembly workshop. The unit will help produce high quality connector and cable assemblies for all types of underwater use.
Investment in the new technology comes only weeks after MacArtney UK acquired Ellon-based cable assembly specialists Callidus Subsea.
The purchase of the new equipment further supports the firm’s ambitious targets to become a market leader in the design and production of cable assemblies and mouldings.
Managing director David Buchan said: “Our cable assembly facility is a growing part of our business. We always strive to improve our service to our customers and ensure we have the best technology available to our technicians. Developing this area of the business is part of the next stage of our strategic plan following on from the acquisition of Callidus Subsea earlier this month.”
The last twelve months have been fruitful for MacArtney UK, with the business announcing record-breaking turnover of £18.2 million at the end of their financial year in September. MacArtney UK is currently the largest group operation outside of Denmark. The 3000m2 facility in Dyce is strategically placed close to Aberdeen Airport and employs 60 members of staff in sales, workshop, admin, HR and QHSE roles.
