Wärtsilä establishes partnership with Greensmith Energy

Wärtsilä has announced that it has entered into a cooperation agreement with Greensmith Energy, the aim of which is to further strengthen its energy system integration capabilities. Greensmith Energy will provide the full optimisation software needed for hybrid energy systems.

The Greensmith Energy GEMS platform is the world's most widely-deployed and proven energy integration software. With its robust yet flexible feature functionality, GEMS continues to set the standard for grid-scale, behind-the-meter, and micro grid storage control architecture.

"Considering the market trends and our vision of being the best overall energy solutions provider, this partnership is a natural, yet significant step for us in becoming an even more attractive market player", said Javier Cavada, President, Wärtsilä Energy Solutions.

As a combined solution, Wärtsilä's Smart Power Generation and solar PV, together with Greensmith's integration capabilities, will provide sustainable, reliable, and affordable power - particularly in countries and regions with limited or small-scale electricity grids.
