Sound Oil, the European and Mediterranean focused upstream oil and gas company, is pleased to announce that it has received drilling authorisation for the second well in the Carita licence from the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. The Carita licence includes the Nervesa gas discovery.

There are no further outstanding regulatory consents required before the commencement of drilling and operations to prepare the site for the arrival of the rig have now begun.

James Parsons, Sound Oil's Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"The second Nervesa well initiates Sound Oil's busy 2015 drill programme. We look forward to updating investors on the commencement of drilling and on the achievement of operational milestones.

I will also be inviting investors to observe the operations through a daily webcam facility which has been installed on site, details of which will be made available shortly."
