Statoil receives drilling consent

Operator of production licence 718 in the Barents Sea, Statoil, has received consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to drill exploration well 7317/9-1 in a prospect named Koigen Central.
The well's geographical co-ordinates will be: 73° 27' 50.45" N and 17° 48' 10.64" E.
Drilling will begin in August 2017 at the earliest and is scheduled to last 32 days. It will be drilled using the Songa Enabler mobile drilling facility, which is owned and operated by Songa Offshore.
