AccessESP has installed the first rigless ESP conveyance system in Nigeria in the Ukpokiti #4 offshore well for Shebah Exploration and Production Company Limited (SEPCOL).

This installation was performed using AccessESP’s 375 series, 190 HP Permanent Magnet Motor and wet connector system. The ESP system was deployed through 4.5” tubing on conventional .125” slickline after installation of the tubing string.

The AccessESP system offers significantly lower intervention costs, reduces lost production and provides full-bore access to the reservoir by eliminating the need for a workover rig.

“This collaboration between AccessESP and SEPCOL delivered a flexible solution tailored to the company’s specific needs in this region,” said David Malone, Chief Executive Officer, AccessESP. “We are pleased to work alongside SEPCOL and provide this effective solution for their first use of a rigless conveyance system.”

The Ukpokiti #4 system was deployed via slickline to a depth of 5900 ft and took less than 15 hours to install. The well has been in production for more than 40 days since installation.
