OTC Brasil 2015 leadership and call for papers announced

The 2015 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) on 27-29 October in Rio de Janeiro will be chaired by João Carlos de Luca, president of IBP with Orlando Ribeiro of Petrobras and Fernando Frimm of GustoMSC serving as co-chairmen of the OTC Brasil Program Committee according to the OTC Board of Directors.

The call for papers is now open, and paper proposals can be submitted online until 3 March 2015. Ten technical categories are available for paper proposals such as topside and subsea, offshore vessels and platforms, flow assurance, and more. The complete list of paper proposal categories is available online at www.otcbrasil.org.

Last year, OTC Brasil attracted more than 15 000 exploration and production industry attendees and selected over 200 technical papers from 19 countries, including 67 from Brazil. Continuing the tradition, the technical program will bring together leading experts from its 13 sponsoring societies representing every aspect of the offshore energy industry to create a comprehensive conference.

Themed “The Atlantic: From East to West—An Ocean of Innovation,” OTC Brasil 2015 will encompass offshore oil and gas exploration and development topics related to geology and subsurface technologies, offshore drilling and wells system, floating structures, and advanced subsea production to keep offshore facilities operating safely and efficiently.
