South Sudan to restart production

South Sudan is to start pumping oil through pipelines to Port Sudan following successful discussions with its neighbour Sudan.

 

BP reports that new surface sheen is not from a fresh leak

After investigating reports of a fresh surface sheen in the area around the site of the Macondo well, BP has reported that there are no signs of a fresh leak and that the oil may have come from the cofferdam that was used in an unsuccessful attempt to cap the well.
