Zion Oil & Gas Israel drilling update

At its Megiddo-Jezreel #1 well in Israel, near the eastern border with Jordan, Zion has reached a depth of approximately 9200 ft (~2800 m) toward a possible total depth of up to ~15 000 ft.

 
 

88 Energy provides operational update on Project Icewine

The Icewine#2 well was shut-in on 10 July to allow for imbibition and pressure build up to occur within the HRZ shale. Flow testing re-commenced on 31 August at 10:26 (AK time), and was suspended on 18 September (AK time).

 

Weatherford introduces V0-qualified retrievable well barrier

The barrier has a large operational envelope: it is capable of withstanding pressure differentials up to 10 000 psi (68.95 MPa) and temperatures between 40 and 325°F (4 and 163°C), which reduces the loss-of-containment risk in extreme environments.

 
 
 
 

Sacgasco: Dempsey gas well to flow test multiple zones

The company has advised that the Dempsey 1-15 well in the Sacramento Basin in California has completed the drilling phase, and a 5 ½ in. liner has been run and cemented to protect all potential reservoirs beneath the existing 9 5/8 in. casing.

 
 

Norwest Energy: hydrocarbons encountered at Xanadu-1

Xanadu-1 was drilled as a conventional oil exploration well, designed to test for the presence of hydrocarbons in the Xanadu prospect, located offshore in shallow waters, 40 km south of Dongara, Western Australia.
