Drilling & production - 31 October 2018

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Faroe Petroleum Norge AS a drilling permit for well 31/7-3 S, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Crude delivered by rail from the Bakken is expected to grow from an average of 230 000 bpd this year to about 300 000 bpd in 2019 as production growth fills available pipeline capacity.

Triangle’s Managing Director Mr Rob Towner said the farmin to the Mt Horner L7 Production Licence further demonstrates the company’s strategy of growth in the Perth Basin.

Equinor and the Johan Sverdrup licence have awarded a jacket contract for the processing platform for Johan Sverdrup phase 2 to Kværner. The contract value is around NOK 900 million.

The company has received follow-up orders from its contract partner, the Norwegian service company Aibel, that are to tie in with phase 1 of the Johan Sverdrup oil field project.
